“Our Questions Need Answers”

(18) Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Alas, we are doomed. We have no prophet we can trust. They have all fallen and we cannot believe what is regurgitating from their mouths. They prophesy peace and safety and we are in turmoil suffering the fiery darts from our enemies. Those liars want money for the false words they are speaking. Whom do they think they are? Do they assume they are more Holy than our God? We listened to every word they spoke and waited for them to expound on the law of God. We heard no wisdom, no divine revelation, and we have been led astray by their many tirades on the temple porch. They are teaching us that our God is not love, but full of hate and not worthy to be trusted.

We have been taught in the past that we can be happy if we keep the law of God. How can we understand and keep the law if we have no one to guide us with immediate instructions?

All praise to our Father in Heaven because He gave us the Torah to read. He promised us His prophets who would hear from Him would interpret the law. We have no finished book, but cherish fragments and oral teachings that have been passed down through our generations. Guide us, Father, and reveal to us prophets who come from your presence and love us as you love us.

You promised us a prophet would come and we heard he has come, but the Pharisees killed him and it changed our world. Is it true? Was he resurrected? His doctrine sounds like things You would say to Your children. We heard he got upset with the moneychangers and dumped their tables because he was upset with them making a profit from your children when they were coming to worship You and present the proper sacrifice to atone for their sins. We have seen many who do believe in that Jesus and follow his doctrine. They say Jesus has paid the price and all we have to do is Follow him.

Is it that easy to be cleansed from our sins and iniquities? Is Jesus the prophet who will explain Your law to us? Will he contain all wisdom and share that with the common people? Please, Holy Father, hear our plea. We desire the truth. We beg You to send other messengers to guide us in the way we should go. We want to be happy and full of joy because we know where we will be for eternity when we are made right with You. We do not want to perish because we have no vision. Lord, we seek Your face for answers to all of these questions.

Donna’s Notes not included with entry: I was blessed to win this time as I have entered many times several years ago and placed, but did not win.  I was shocked that this creative writing even manifested out of me considering all I am currently going through.  I am recovering from a intense round of shingles, and getting ready to do my first Live program on You Tube,plus so many more physical and spiritual issues as our ministry is so busy.  However, I felt this was inspired by God and after doing a little study on the Proverbs passage, the article flowed out of me in a matter of a few minutes.  Thank You Lord for using me once again to reach many.  Here is just a summation of my study.

Proverbs 29:18
(18) Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

The word “vision” means: H2377 חזון châzôn khaw-zone’
From H2372; a sight (mentally), that is, a dream, revelation, or oracle: – vision.

Gill Commentary says: Pro 29:18 – Where there is no vision, the people perish,…. That is, “no prophecy”, as the Vulgate Latin version renders it; and which is often the sense of the word, as the vision of Isaiah is the prophecy of Isaiah; and, in the New Testament, prophesying is often put for preaching; and here vision, or prophecy, signifies the public ministering of the word and ordinances, and want of persons to administer them; no expounder, as the Septuagint version; or interpreter, as the Arabic.

In the writing Challenge we are not to use the Scripture prompt in our articles and all entries are anonymous, so the judges do not know who the author is until after they have chosen the winner. After I posted my entry, I realized I had made a few mistakes because when we post it has to be in certain formats and those take out your paragraphs sometimes, so even though it had some mistakes, it was judged on the content, and for that I am grateful.

NYSTV leadership has decided to establish the final Sunday of every other (Gregorian) month for baptisms. We usually start around 1-2 PM, with baptisms and fellowship.  This set schedule will not only make it easier on us to coordinate together to accommodate those wanting baptism (as each team member lives in a different city and/or state), but also makes it easier for you and your family to make work and travel arrangements in advance.

We have an outside horse trough on the front porch that needs to be filled.  FYI, although performed outside, the water is warm.

Many listeners are contacting us and asking to be baptized.  There are some who are coming to salvation for the first time, and others who feel a former baptism was not done correctly, or in a wrong church, or with a wrong understanding of what they were doing, or the purpose in doing the sacrament.

The real name of the town is Gatchel, but there is not much here except farms, our barn, and a garage.  GPS does not work good, so here is directions: 
 
As you leave Tell City going North on HWY 37, About 15 min out, watch for the Airport sign.  Do not turn there, but start counting and in about 20 seconds you will see a road going off to your Left that says Old State Road 37.
 
Turn Left onto that road.  It will wind around for almost 3 min. and you will see the big red Puritan Barn on your left and our apartment is at the rear.
There is a little sign by mailbox.

Several of our listeners feel the Lord wants them to move into this area and have done so already.  We tell everyone who asks that we are not starting a commune, and that anyone who moves here must be self-sufficient and be able to pay their own way with a job, or income and able to pay their own housing and food costs and other expenses.  There are no extra living quarters in the barn property, but we do have some good news.  I contacted Rita, our new neighbor to our Puritan barn. She does not know much about our ministries., but I have permission from her to post her information here.  She knows the area with surrounding towns.
 
Or – If you are coming from Hwy #64,  take Tell City Exit onto Hwy #37 South and watch for a flashing Light at Leopold. Keep going.  Go through intersection and look for the Gatchel sign on your right.  Turn Right onto that road and when you are at the top of the Hill, Turn Left.  We are on the Right, just a little down that road which is Old Hwy #37.  Can’t miss the Big Red Barn.
 
Our Apartment (A)is on the Left side of the barn at the back. Our neighbor has offered to help those who want to relocate in the area and by now we also have several families who may be able to help.  There are several small towns within 15 minutes of the barn and Kentucky is just over the bridge, too.

PURITAN BARN VOLUNTEER WORK DAY

Mark your calendars for the next volunteer work day at the Puritan Barn — TO BE POSTED WHEN SCHEDULED.
We have someone coming with the gutters to be put up, but he will need some help. We hope to also get the rainwater catchment system installed, too, probably at the first of October.. We will have other things to do for those who do not want to be on ladders but still want to contribute.
As always, lunch, baptisms and fellowship after the work is done. If we get enough people to confirm who will be here in advance, we can do something other than pizza for lunch.

The Lord wants us to focus on training tools, and quality content via our website, and video channels. As we walk in obedience to the Lords calling on our lives, we are no longer able to reply to all Questions (even with our new Form) as we have experienced, many of the Questions we receive have already been answered, either in our content on our website, offering a Page for Hot Topics/ FAQs, or in our teachings.

As a matter of fact as soon as I created the new form for Questions, the amount of Questions doubled, and that was a surprise for me (Sister Donna) as I created the Forms to help me sort through the thousands of emails we receive monthly. I have been struggling for several years trying to keep up with our growth and praying for help in many areas. However, we have Saved all of your Questions, and perhaps we may have some messages dedicated to answering the Questions that have never been answered. We will add more content as we see there is need for addressing various issues. For those of you who are regular listeners, we recently have added other guest speakers on our Sunday Night Live programs, including Traci Vinet (who also helps me in the office), Brett Graham, and Brian Reece who started some programs called “the Redneck History Channel”. Many of our listeners have commented how much they are enjoying their programs. I (Sister Donna) am also working on some programs as well, but not quite ready to air them yet.

We appreciate the offers of help from those of you who have offered to help, and are so thankful for the ones who have helped us, and to those who have continued to help us. We do not have any paid staff, but rely on volunteers. Recently we just reached the listener million mark on our Underground Church FOJC You Tube Channel. That is amazing for our humble efforts and lack of some the essential skills we need to accomplish what God has called us to do. However, it has become abundantly clear that Brother David and I are responsible for answering questions as there is no one, even with all our faithful followers who could span the number of years we have existed, and remember all the content of every message we ever presented, because we even cannot even remember every detail.

Since 1984 our ministry has worked diligently to teach biblical truth, and expose darkness whenever possible, offer books, CDs, DVDs, Tracts, and other printed materials to help set captives free. Seasons change and although the call on our lives has stayed the same, our ministry has grown so much more than we ever dreamed, and with that growth comes even more responsibility. We have provided years worth of tools for the flock to help others have doctrinally sound materials for their walk. These tools are still available to all who would seek to find. We appreciate every single person who listens to us, absorbs our content, and shares our links with others.

We are all told in God’s word that Each believer is to study to shew ourselves approved and this does not mean just ministry leaders as we are, but every child of God should do all they can do to learn the Doctrine of Christ and hide the word in our hearts.

2 John 1:9-12 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. (10) If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him Godspeed: (11) For he that biddeth him Godspeed is partaker of his evil deeds. (12) Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

Our Priorities

We are excited about the future and all the Lord is calling us into and to take this new leap of faith on our road home. We are much older now (David is 73 & I will be 75 in April), although most of our listeners tell us we do not look or sound like our age. We are very thankful for that, and even though we both have some ongoing physical issues, the Lord keeps us going, and our brains seem to function good most days, Praise God! We are sensing the need for us to prioritize all the facets of our ministry as we strive to edify, challenge, and encourage our readers and listeners. This has always been our priority and we must maintain our focus.

I (Sister Donna) still offer that help, but my time has become a rare commodity as I feel the call to do several things the Lord has called Me to do and I have been so tied up in doing the many physical needs of our ministry that I have been hindered in accomplishing those things the Lord has told me I need to do. I have spent many hours in prayer seeking the Father for direction and I feel today He gave me the answer by giving me permission to stop trying to keep up with all the emails we have accumulated. I have a return email for anyone who contacts explaining how far behind I have gotten when I was too sick to work in the office.

Those (1,000+) emails are always on my mind and I have said a constant prayer for the Lord to help me with what I should do first. I have saved them all and have tried to answer all the Prayer Requests personally, pass them on to our Prayer Team, and mention some of them on our Friday night messages. And as some of you know after months of trying several different methods to get our “New” Remnant Locations Page in order that is easy to read and edit, and make it easier to find listeners in your area, the Lord finally told me how to do it. It is important that we try to get our listeners in contact with others in their area for fellowship and bible study as we see the time of the Lord’s return growing closer and closer.

Hebrews 10:22-25 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (23) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) (24) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: (25) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

We previously tried to return every call that comes in to our ministry and pray and/or pray with any listener when we have the time needed to do so. However, that has also become Impossible as the minute our home phone is plugged in, it starts to ring. We would never get anything else done if we are constantly answering the phone. We do keep a record of all who call and try to return calls when possible. We do not have any special prayers that have power, but we know the Lord wants all of you to pray using the words from your heart. My heart is always compassionate to all the survivors of abuse, but we do not have time to do individual deliverance sessions with all who call. We offer several resources and pages on our Website for all who have those issues if they would take their time and use it wisely putting some effort into their own healing. The Lord told me a long time ago that part of my job is to give Hope to those who contacts us. I pray that I have done so.

Thank You for taking the time to examine all we offer on our Website we are seeking the Lord to learn what we should add or what we need to change. We pray that each person who visits our Website or listens to our messages will seek the Lord and allow Him to direct their steps and learn the truths we have to offer them, and share those truths with this world that badly needs guidance and direction towards an eternity with our Wonderful Lord.

As our ministry grows, so do the financial needs grow as we need to add more sound equipment, computer programs, and study books for our library. We have never begged for money, but we do need some funds to pay for reprinting of our books, office supplies, postage and packaging, and also enabling local listeners help when needed. We have never made money an issue for receiving resource materials and many resources on our Website are offered completely free. There are some other ministry needs listed on our Love Gifts Page along with several ways to send your love Gifts. Thank you again for your spiritual and financial support and encouragement, and for giving us grace in this new season of our walk. We love our listeners and appreciate all of You.

We recently added a few new people who are presenting teachings on our Sunday Night Live programs.  We use both FOJC  Rumble Channel and the Underground Church FOJC for their programs.

We work with several ministries and we feel they have valuable information to offer. * However, we want you to know that their opinions, views on issues, counseling methods, and content of their materials must be viewed with prayer to God for discernment. They are not necessarily endorsed by, or the responsibility of Followers of Jesus Christ.

“News” about our Ministry and Prayer and Deliverance teams

Our Ministry has grown tremendously in the last year and especially since we moved.  It has been evident that We needed help in many ways, especially in Donna’s office and since David has stopped doing most personal ministry, the ministry has fallen on Sister Donna to handle phone and email ministry.  Therefore, we decided to form a Prayer Team, composed of listeners who volunteer to help pray for all our listeners requests.  Sister Donna prays and copies pertinent information from your emails or notes from phone calls, carefully sending only the first name and not any contact information, so that your requests are handled with as much confidentiality as possible. Since we now have one person helping part time in our office, we wanted to let you know, that they may have access to your emails or phone calls, but Sister Donna will try to answer most of those.  If you feel led to pray for others, please contact us. 

We also set up a Deliverance Team.  We are in the process of training volunteers, but all must be sure the Lord has called them into that particular time consuming ministry. We have also made it a requirement that our Deliverance team read, do the work, and follow the guidelines in our Victims To Victors book, participating themselves with the Questions and healing ministry in that book.  Each person needs to be able to hear from the Holy Spirit, exhibit good fruit in their lives, have a humble spirit, and compassion for the damaged people who come to us, often as their last hope. This takes time and hands on experience, so your deliverance may be discussed with our Deliverance Team so they will learn how to minister in certain circumstances.  If you have a deliverance appointment with Sister Donna, she will let you know if another person on our Deliverance Team is present.  We also pray for wisdom about who to add to both teams.

We humbly ask for you to pray for us in these endeavors.  We never claim to know everything, but we know the one who does.  We are not professional counselors and we simply minister the word of God and try to handle issues like Jesus did to the best of our ability.  Sister Donna has felt led by the Lord to do a series of teachings about deliverance, and has patiently waited until she gets the “go” from the Father.  Much has already been put in action and it is to be called “Deliverance Discussions“. As we get our teams in place and the office in some order, it will free her up to do what God has called her to do. Thanks for your prayers.

    Colossians 2:8-23 (To understand this passage in truth, we must examine it in the light of the Doctrine of Christ, and the entirety of scripture. Christ teaches us how to return to the ways, times, and seasons, of the Father through His Doctrine, His Example, and ultimately through His death, burial, and resurrection. Christ did not come to do away with God’s Law and the remembrance of God’s Holy Feast days, but to show us the Power of God’s Grace manifested through obedience to the Fathers laws. Acts 10:34-36 explains to us this vision is concerning the salvation of men, not dietary laws.) Genesis 2:17, Deuteronomy 14, Genesis 7:2 (this passage shows us that God had given Noah the knowledge of clean dietary laws thousands of years before He gave them to Moses at Mt Sinai.)
