We have had many questions about our belief that the earth is actually flat, and we have been and is constantly lied to by those who disagree. Recently we received an email with the question, What about the passage in the Matthew Bible in II Samuel 11:11 that says “flat earthe”:
2 Samuel 11:11 Uriah said unto David: the ark and Israel and Judah dwell in pavilions, and my lord Joab and the servants of my lord lie in tents upon the flat earth: and should I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink and to lie with my wife?
While we read this in the King James Version:
2 Samuel 11:11 KJV
(11) And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.
We can find the answer by checking the word “field(s) in the Hebrew.
H7704
שָׂדַי שָׂדֶה
śâdeh śâday
saw-deh’, saw-dah’ee
From an unused root meaning to spread out; a field (as flat): – country, field, ground, land, soil, X wild.
Total KJV occurrences: 333
I explained to the person. The King James does corectly identify the passage because the verse was speaking of the open field where the tents were. It was not speaking of the whole world in this passage. However, the KJV does correctly identify the world is flat in many places. I found this chart to help.

We have a playlist on our Brighteon with several teachings on Flat Earth and David has spoken about Flat Earth in many teachings other than the ones on this playlists.
