“Welcome to the Covenant Marriage Service.
We gather together to show our love and to bless these couples
as they continue their journey of life together.”

We Believe God created marriage to be holy, to exemplify the glorious,
eternal marriage between His Son Jesus Christ & His Church.
We Believe Marriage is sacred & a lifelong covenant.
We Believe God calls us to pursue unconditional love for each other as modeled
by His promise never to leave or forsake us.

>David says to audience & couple:
Recognizing that we serve a covenant God, Marriage is a covenant contract, and that we are commanded to live covenant lives. This couple solemnly agrees to this Covenant Marriage Contract.
God’s word says in:
Matthew 19:4-6 KJV
(4) And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
(5) And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
(6) Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
And in
Ephesians 5:25-33 KJV
(25) Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
(26) That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
(27) That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
(28) So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
(29) For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

(18) Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
(19) Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
>Minister stands before couple telling them to face their wives –
Men face their wives – while the Men repeat after you:
“I covenant with God and with you to create a marriage in which I will love, lead, guide, and protect you. I will cherish you always.
Wives face their husbands – while the Women repeat after you:
“I covenant with God and with you to create a marriage in which I will love, help, honor, submit to, and respect you. I will encourage and strengthen you.
RING EXCHANGE OPTIONAL
>Minister David asks, “Who has rings to exchange?”
Couples answer “We Do.”
>Minister asks the Couples to Repeat after him.
Husbands say: “With all my heart’s affection, I give you this ring,
in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Amen.” (place the ring on her finger)
Wives say: I accept this ring as a token of our covenant of marriage.”
“With all my heart’s affection, I give you this ring,
in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Amen.” place the ring on his finger)
Husbands say: “I accept this token of our covenant of marriage.”

“We covenant to create a marriage relationship which mutually benefits the needs God put within each of us.
We covenant to create a shared vision of hope, trust and loyalty that will model our faith in Christ for our family.
We covenant to give and forgive, always striving to make choices which empower and equip us to live Godly lives.”
>Minister says: “These couples and Followers Of Jesus Christ invite you to share in the Lord’s Supper with us. Please wait until all are served before partaking.

1 Corinthians 11:27-29 KJV
(27) Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
(28) But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
(29) For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 KJV
(23) For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
(24) And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
(25) After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

>Minister says: As couples stand up. I would like to introduce to you to this New Couple: Mr. & Mrs ______________Clap,Clap,Clap etc.
>Minister says: Couple will now proceed to do their wedding Dance and please join in after that to Celebrate and Fellowship and enjoy some Food!
