Beards

Several years ago, I received a sincere email asking our ministry a question. “Should I cut my beard?” This person needed an honest answer to clear up several confusing articles and videos he has read or watched.  As a hairstylist of 34 yrs, I needed to know about beards as it was my job to help men know how to groom them to look a specific way.

I thought you would want to know what my answer was.  I usually research topics before I answer questions. My answer:

“I am not condemning your beard, but we do all need answers for people when they ask. Some women love beards, others do not.  For me I detest Goatees for obvious reasons, but can back it up with the article I have sent you and the other fellow.  If a man has a goatee and tries to minister to survivors, it will backfire as SRA survivors are triggered by goatees.  The Satanist who abused me told me to specifically to think of him (as he tried to perform the sex act) as a goat, complete with chin whiskers, horns, forked tail, and hooves (the Baphomet).  Thanks to God that act was never completed and I ran out of his home with only my top clothes in hand and under ware and shoes in my hands.  Shortly after that incident, about a month, I got saved. Praise God for his mercy.  I was never a participant, but only a drunken, unsaved woman looking for love in all the wrong places.  This was my answer for the other email listener.”

The style dates back to ancient Greece and ancient Rome. The god Pan was traditionally depicted with goat-like features, including a goatee. When Christianity became the dominant religion and began copying imagery from pagan myth, Satan was given the likeness of Pan,[4] leading to Satan traditionally being depicted with a goatee in medieval art and Renaissance art.

The Hebrew Bible states in Leviticus 19:27 that “You shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.” Talmudic tradition explains this to mean that a man may not shave his beard with a razor with a single blade, since the cutting action of the blade against the skin “mars” the beard. Because scissors have two blades, some opinions in halakha (Jewish law) permit their use to trim the beard, as the cutting action comes from contact of the two blades and not the blade against the skin. For this reason, some poskim (Jewish legal deciders) rule that Orthodox Jews may use electric razors to remain clean-shaven, as such shavers cut by trapping the hair between the blades and the metal grating, halakhically a scissorlike action. Other poskim like Zokon Yisrael KiHilchso,[88] maintain that electric shavers constitute a razor-style action and consequently prohibit their use.

The Zohar, one of the primary sources of Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism), attributes holiness to the beard, specifying that hairs of the beard symbolize channels of subconscious holy energy that flows from above to the human soul. Therefore, most Hasidic Jews, for whom Kabbalah plays an important role in their religious practice, traditionally do not remove or even trim their beards.

Traditional Jews refrain from shaving, trimming the beard, and haircuts during certain times of the year like Passover, Sukkot, the Counting of the Omer and the Three Weeks. Cutting the hair is also restricted during the 30-day mourning period after the death of a close relative, known in Hebrew as the Shloshim (thirty).”

Seems like the Jews have something for everyone, so the brainwashing goes on and on.  Are we Jews? Do we need to adhere to all the Jewish traditions?  Even though some are Biblical in some ways, even the truth has been twisted to add their traditions.

Apostle Paul spoke of this:

Galatians 1:10-16

(10)  For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

(11)  But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

Romans 2:25-29

(25)  For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

(26)  Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

(27)  And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfill the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?

Abba Father is concerned with every little thing in our lives, even men’s beards and women’s hair, etc.  But you hardly ever hear about men’s beards or women’s hair unless Bible passages are used to condemn, not glorify the real reasons for either. We do, however, see on the programming in movies evil men characters usually have goatees.  There is a reason for this!

Therefore, after you have read my research, I encourage you to prayerfully seek the Lord for your answer.
