1,000 Year Millennial Reign (PDF of this article)

Here is a chart that may also help our understanding.

Time Line Chart

Many are confused about the 1,000 Millennial reign of Christ. That term “Millennial Reign” is not even in the Bible. I (Sister Donna) am only presenting a few truths in the following article. David has done several teachings on this and will be doing another one in the future. They can be found on our Brighteon Channel play list.

Because many listeners have asked us questions, I decided to write a short article with Scriptures to help explain our position that the Millennial reign of Christ started at Jesus Resurrection. He is reigning now and we are reigning with Him.

Jews everywhere in the world are still waiting for their Messiah and the physical Kingdom of God. Jesus came to set up a spiritual kingdom, not a physical kingdom. Unfortunately, some of those false teachings have permeated into many Hebrew Roots/Messianic/Torah Observant groups and most of the TV churches teach a rapture doctrine. Several of those groups are now denying Jesus as the true Messiah and not teaching the truth of His return. If you are a part of these groups, run for your life. Get out and study the KJV Bible and learn the truth. We constantly offer sound teachings to prove what false teachers are saying and present the truth in the word of God that can be found. Many use the following scripture to teach a millennial reign that begins at the end of the world.

Revelation 20:5-8
(5) But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
(6) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
(7) And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
(8) And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Jesus reign ends when He returns. The Kingdom of God continues.

1 Corinthians 15:24-25
(24) Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
(25) For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

Psalms 110:1
(1) A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Revelation 22:5
(5) And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever.

Handle’ Messiah reflects the great faith of the church that when Christ returns, He will reign forever and ever. I had to sing this many times when I was in high school.

Mark 14:24-25
(24) And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
(25) Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

Revelation 11:15
(15) And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever.

We are the priests of God now.

1 Peter 2:9
(9) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

Revelation 1:5-7
(5) And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
(6) And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
(7) Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Revelation 5:9-10
(9) And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
(10) And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

The word “thousand” is often used as symbolical in the Bible. There are many examples in the word, but for this article, I chose only one.

2 Peter 3:8
(8) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Thousand – G5507
χί?ιοι
chilioi
khil’-ee-oy
Plural of uncertain affinity; a thousand: – thousand.

This is the same Greek word used in Revelation 5:6. As we often point out, you have to read passages in context and also as I said earlier, “You cannot use the Scriptures against Jesus and expect to come to the truth.”

Because John 5:28-29 says the resurrection of the wicked and righteous takes place in the same hour, we cannot put a 1,000 years in between the resurrections. Obviously the book of Revelation is the symbolic book, not the book of John.

Recently, it was suggested that Jesus could not be reigning in this evil world, but that is faulty reasoning. There has been evil in the world since its creation. Sodom and Gomorrah is just one example. Mankind was given free will so God could know that people can choose to believe in Him and exhibit true Love. Unfortunately, many choose evil and not good because they have free will. After creation of the world, God told Adam not to eat of a certain tree.

Genesis 2:16-17
(16) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
(17) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Directly after that commandment, God created Eve for Adam’s mate. Then the Serpent convinced Eve to disobey. They both knew better, but chose to disobey and then learned about both good and evil.

Genesis 3:1
(1) Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Genesis 3:5-7
(5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
(6) And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
(7) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Genesis 3:22-24
(22) And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever:
(23) Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
(24) So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

So, this is how Evil has come into our world from the beginning of mankind. Disobedience was the first sin and it is still the sin that keeps people from believing in what Jesus did for them on the cross. He was the sinless perfect sacrifice to provide our atonement, or the way of forgiveness, to make us acceptable to Father God. God had a plan because He is all knowing and knows the beginning from the end.

Revelation 13:8
(8) And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Galatians 1:4
(4) Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

Yes, there has always been evil in this world, but Father God encourages us many times in his word to Overcome and Endure to the end, and to resist evil.

1 Thessalonians 5:22
(22) Abstain from all appearance of evil.

3 John 1:11
(11) Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

Jesus even prayed in His high priestly prayer for us to be protected from evil.

John 17:15
(15) I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

John 17:20-21
(20) Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
(21) That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Most Bible teachers try to use the Bible verses to teach against what Jesus said. You cannot use the Scriptures against Jesus and expect to come to the truth. This is a dangerous method as He is the Son of God and He is Truth.

John 14:6
(6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 5:22-23
(22) For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
(23) That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 5:25-29
(25) Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
(26) For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
(27) And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
(28) Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
(29) And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

In that Scripture Jesus said there would be rewards and punishment at that hour of His return. There will not be a Secret Rapture.

Rapture Doctrine False

Jesus said that the Kingdom of God was present after John the Baptist.

Luke 16:16
(16) The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Luke 17:20-21
(20) And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
(21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Luke 18:16-17
(16) But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
(17) Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

We are told to Study to show ourselves approved. If you will pray for understanding before you read, the Holy Spirit will help you.

Ephesians 2:5-6
(5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by (grace ye are saved;)
(6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Romans 5:17
(17) For if by one man’s offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

We are seated with Christ and we are reigning in life with Him. Be sure you are one with Him and believe His words.

John 8:51
(51) Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

John 8:31-32
(31) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
(32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Brothers and Sisters, I implore you to believe Jesus’ words and do not be tossed about with false doctrines.

Ephesians 4:10-15
(10) He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
(11) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
(12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
(13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
(14) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
(15) But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

1 Timothy 4:1
(1) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

We are truly in those times. Our world is a mess, but we can live in a peace unlike others.

John 14:23-27
(23) Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
(24) He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
(25) These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
(26) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
(27) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
